Dear Unit Leaders and Unit Helpers, It has been quite a week, hasn’t it? We trust you are travelling OK and coping with the changes. Please see our  Management of Flexible Guiding  and communication that was sent to both your Region and District Managers and Support Groups/District Management Teams. We have sent the same information to everyone to ensure you have a complete picture of  everyone’s roles and responsibilities.  The document labelled  ‘ E-mail to patrols 16 March letterhead ’  provides further details to assist your District understand and implement the Board Directive. Changes to Hut Hiring Requirements

Today, the Federal Government announced the following: All community buildings are restricted from opening as of 12 midnight 26 March 2020 All agreements will be suspended until further notice Scheduled rent payments are therefore suspended until further notice. Dear Girl Guide Queensland Members COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update - 15 March 2020 Please be advised that Girl Guides Queensland Board has made the heartfelt and unprecedented decision to suspend all person to person Girl Guide activities until further notice, commencing Monday 16 March 2020. Guiding activities will continue to operate using our Flexible Guiding Program and will draw upon the expertise of our experienced Leaders. COVID 19 Update - 14 March 2020

Dear Members COVID 19 Update - 14 March 2020 We have some great news - our staff member’s results were negative for COVID19! To ensure the premises are cleaned in line with prescribed Queensland Health requirements, Girl Guides Queensland’s State Office and Shop will reopen on Wednesday 18 March 2020. Staff will continue to work from home and calls and emails are being monitored remotely. The Board has held several meetings in the past few days and will issue an update to Members tomorrow. COVID 19 Update - 12 March 2020

Dear Members Girl Guides Queensland has taken the precautionary measure of closing its State Office, after a staff member was potentially exposed to COVID-19. This staff member has sought testing and self-isolated. No other staff member has reported symptoms; however all are self-isolating for the immediate future. Girl Guides Queensland is working to minimise the risk to health and safety of all who interact with our organisation. We are identifying close contacts of those who interacted with our staff member and communicating directly with them regarding their requirement to self-isolate. Our own staff identified as close contacts will be asked to self-isolate for 14 days and not return to work until this time has elapsed. A 'close contact' is a person who has spent significant time either face-to-face (15 mins) or in an enclosed space (two hours or more).
